Is Sabino Canyon open 24 hours?
Yes. The Sabino Canyon Recreation Area is open 24/7 for visitors. However, the Visitor Center, bookstore, and restrooms close after 5 PM.
What are the shuttle hours?
The Sabino Canyon Crawler operates daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Sabino) and 9:15 AM to 4:15 PM (Bear Canyon). Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Where can I buy shuttle tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online at sabinocanyoncrawler.com or at on-site kiosks near the Visitor Center. Arrive early to ensure availability.
Can I use cash for shuttle tickets?
Yes, exact cash payments are accepted via the drop box near the Shuttle Ticket building. No change can be given.
Does the overflow lot have a shuttle stop?
No. The overflow lot is for vehicle parking only. Visitors must walk or drive to the main Visitor Center to board the shuttle.
Do parking passes include the shuttle fare?
No. The parking fee covers vehicle entry only. Shuttle fares are separate and paid to the Sabino Canyon Crawler.
Can I bring a stroller or baby carrier on the shuttle?
Yes, if it folds and fits under the seat. Infants and young children may sit on a parent’s lap if space allows.
What happens if it rains?
During or after rainfall, the Sabino Canyon Crawler runs the Highwater Tour to Stop 2, the Overlook, and Sabino Dam for safety reasons.
