Sabino Canyon Hike & Run

Blacketts Ridge Trail

A steep Sabino spur that leaves the canyon floor and climbs a narrow ridge to big views over Bear Canyon, Sabino, and the eastern Catalinas.

From the Bear Canyon corridor, Blacketts Ridge punches toward the sky — rocky steps, tight switchbacks, and exposed ribs of granite. The payoff is a long, airy crest where Tucson drops on both sides and the folds of the Catalinas stack to the horizon. Come ready for sustained, sun-exposed climbing and a careful descent on tired legs.
